About Julius

Julius Alarcon is the author and editor of the SGRXTRME Blog. He writes practical, plain-language guides for Filipino players on online slots, fishing games, poker, live casino and sports betting, with a constant focus on safe payments and responsible play.

Julius started the blog because so much gaming content aimed at Filipinos is either hype or confusing jargon. His goal is simple: explain how each game actually works, in pesos and in context, so readers can decide for themselves, and keep it fun.

Topics Julius covers

• Slot mechanics: RTP, volatility and paytables. See the slots guide.
• Arcade fishing games. See the fishing games guide.
• Texas Hold'em fundamentals. See the poker guide.
• Basketball betting markets. See the sports betting guide.
• Live dealer games. See the live casino guide.
• E-wallet safety. See the GCash and Maya checklist.
• Healthy play. See the responsible gaming playbook.

Editorial approach

Julius uses AI tools to help research and draft articles, then personally reviews, fact-checks and edits every piece before it's published. Each article shows when it was published and last updated, and every change is recorded in the content freshness log. Read the full editorial policy.
